Frequently asked questions about Cookbook Connector Kits

1.  Is there an easy way to assemble the connector?
Terminating the wires to the contacts and then back-potting using our universal endbell is easy, quick, and creates a rugged sealed assembly. Just follow the "How to Assemble" instructions for your chosen menu platform (A-H).

2.  How do I assemble the connector?
For connector wire termination, our connector solutions guide will show you how to assemble the connector. After that, choose the menu or cable style and review the "How to Assemble" instructions.

3.  How do I know which "Menu type" to choose?
Use the "Select Cable" criteria. The Menu Type depends upon whether you need field repairability, grounding or shielding, fluid protection, and on the types of cable or wire you are using.

4.  How do I find epoxy and potting compound for my connector?

Find potting compounds that work well with our connectors.

5.  What tools do I need to assemble the kits (Crimping or potting)?

Crimping tools are used to crimp your wires onto the contacts.  The potting tools make the connector assembly environmentally sealed.  See the menu assembly instructions for the backpotting and the appropriate tooling page for the menu series you have chosen.

6.  What are the hours for tech support?
