MIL-DTL-26482 Series II Aluminum (AFD Series, MS34)
 MIL-C-26482 is the Navy’s latest specification specifically designed to eliminate failure modes characteristic of many previous devices. The Deutsch AFD series connectors represent the most advanced design in use which both reflects and sets the pace for future developments.Designated as Series II of MIL-C-26482, this miniature circular electrical connector supersedes MIL-C-83723 Series I devices. It utilizes a bayonet coupling device and is intermateable and interchangeable with earlier MIL-C-26482 Series I connectors and MIL-C-83723 Series I connectors. Deutsch offers this environment resisting connector in all four classes. The resilient version is available with rear release crimp removable contacts, as well as the hermetic version with nonremovable solder type contacts. The contacts range in size from 12 through 20.
