What is MyPEI?
MyPEI is your personalized version of peigenesis.com. Once you have registered and logged into the site, MyPEI reconfigures the site so that you see your pricing structure, product details and preferences. A MyPEI menu on the left side of the screen allows you to view your orders, track shipments, view purchase history, print or email invoice copies, and much more. MyPEI is part of our integrated worldwide network. No matter what method you use to place orders (Web, fax, telephone, or EDI), all of your order details can be accessed in MyPEI from anywhere in the world at any time. Can I change the appearance of MyPEI in my Browser? Yes. At the very top right of the screen there are five small black buttons that allow you to vary the appearance of the site. The first button displays the site in normal wide screen mode (the default). The second button puts the site in fluid mode. In this mode the site will readjust automatically to the screen width of your browser.
The A+ button increases the font size. The A button is the default font size, set by your browser. The A- button decreases the font size. Enjoy.
I am already a PEI-Genesis customer. Can I use my Company’s Trade Account to order on-line? Yes, but this requires verification. You can immediately create an individual on-line account and order with a credit card; however, if you wish to use your company’s existing PEI-Genesis trade account, your individual profile must be “connected” to your company’s PEI-Genesis account. Step-by-step account creation instructions How can I purchase under my Company’s PEI-Genesis Trade Account? You can request a connection from your username to your Company’s account when you create your individual on-line username by selecting Existing Customer = Yes during the registration process. Once your identity has been verified, you will have access to your company’s pricing, terms, and preferences on the website. Your company’s PEI-Genesis profile is confidential, so we require that you confirm your identity. If you register as an existing customer, an email will automatically be sent to us requesting a connection from your username to your company profile. You will be contacted at the phone number you entered when you created your account. Some PEI-Genesis customers using our on-line system have a designated “Super User” who has the authority to approve the connection of new users to their company profile (See “What is a Corporate Super User”). If your company has designated a Super User we will contact that person for approval before we can connect your individual profile to your company’s credentials. If your company does not have a Super User, or you are already have a MyPEI account, you can request a username connection to your company's account by speaking with your PEI-Genesis Branch Salesperson. In all cases we will attempt to honor connection requests quickly, normally within 24 hours. Once your individual profile has been connected to your company’s trade account you will have access to your company’s data. You will see your company’s pricing and you will have access to other features approved by your company’s Super User (See “What is a Corporate Super User?”). The entire username setup and connection procedure is covered under PEI Internal WI 400.1.1.0 Step-by-step account creation instructions I am a US tax exempt customer, how do I declare this? You can only declare this by providing us with a valid Tax Exemption Form in writing. Listed below are states in which PEI-Genesis has nexus (where we require a tax exemption form). Click on the appropriate State link below to download a PDF copy of your State's exemption form. US Sales Tax Exempt Forms If you have shipments going to more than one state, it may be easier to fill out a multi-jurisdictional form. Please note that Indiana and New York State do not accept the multi-jurisdictional form and we must ask you to fill out individual forms for these states.

Yes. To place an order online simply create a username and place your order. Registration is quick and easy. You can register inside the Shopping Cart if you have selected items to buy, or you can use the MyPEI Login tab at the top right of any screen. Choose "Create an account" from the Log-in menu. To register you will be asked to supply a few details and select your username and password. Your web account will allow you to update your details and preferences on-line. Step-by-step account creation instructions Where can I find my PEI-Genesis account number?
After you log in you will have a MyPEI menu on the left side of the screen (just below the vertical menu). Select “My Account”. This opens the “Edit Account Details” panel. Your active PEI-Genesis account number is shown there. Note that you may have access to more than one account although only one can be active.
For example, you may have a personal account and you may also have access to your company’s account. Alternatively your company may have more than one account with PEI-Genesis to control special pricing or other features.
If you have more than one account you can switch to that account by hitting the “Switch Account” button and selecting the alternate account. Once you have made your selection, the site gives you access to all authorized features for the selected account. Only accounts to which you have authority will appear on the selection list. How do I change my account preferences?
Once you are logged in, you will see a MyPEI menu on the left side of the screen (just below the vertical menu). Select “My Account”. This takes you to the “Edit Account Details” panel where you can make changes. You are able to change your name, email address as well as your password. Hit the "Save Account Details" button to confirm your changes. What is a Corporate Super User? A Corporate Super User is someone at your company authorized to give you access to your company’s information on the site (a Super User is optional and only setup by customer request). When you register as a new user and click “Existing customer = Yes” you are making a request to be given access to your company’s information (order entry, pricing, order status, invoice history, etc. – See “How can I purchase under my Company’s PEI-Genesis Trade Account?”). Once you have registered, we have to “link” your individual username to your company’s profile. Before we do that we need to verify that you are authorized to access this information.
Here is how we do that: If your company has a designated Super User we will contact that person for approval to connect you to the company profile. If you wish to setup a Super User for your company we will contact a known individual within your company who has an established business relationship with PEI-Genesis. We will ask that person to assist us with completion and approval of a Super User Authorization form. Super User responsibilities are listed below. Once we have a registered Super User and approval from your company, we will link your username to the company profile.
Your Company’s Super User Responsibilities:
• Approves new username links to the corporate account. • Notifies PEI-Genesis when users should be removed from the company account. • Periodically receives a list of usernames linked to the corporate profile for review. • Determines what access you have (higher levels have access to all authority granted to lower levels):
o Level 1 - Access to Trade Account special pricing. o Level 2 - Access to Order Status, Shipment Tracking, and Invoice history. o Level 3 - Ability to order on your company’s account using a credit card. o Level 4 - Ability to order on your company’s account on Terms (invoicing your company on open account for on-line purchases) o Level 5 – Super User. Administers users for your company. Step-by-step account creation instructions |
How do I log in to the web site? On the Homepage there is a login tab titled “MyPEI Login”. It is on the upper right side of the homepage, on the far right (in the “Part # Search” bar).
Click on the tab and enter your username and password. Once you are logged in the tab will display your username. A new MyPEI menu will appear on the left (just under the vertical menu) giving you access to your account details, order tracking, and purchase history. How is my username different from my company’s trade Account Number (ASW ID)? Your username and password are unique identifiers for you personally. When you create your username it is linked to a personal customer profile in our enterprise system. That profile has a PEI-Genesis account number known as an “ASW Customer ID”. Accounts created on the web site begin with the letter E (example: EPG293323). You can see this ID number when you click on “My Account” on the MyPEI Menu. See “Where can I find my PEI-Genesis account number?”).
Your company may also have a trade account with its own identifier. It normally does not use the E prefix and is typically a shorter number (example: P0112345). Your personal account may be “linked” to one or more of your company accounts.
Using your company’s account you potentially have the ability to buy on open account and to use your company’s preferences, pricing, terms, and shipping methods. To have your profile attached to your company’s account, see “How can I purchase under my Company’s PEI-Genesis Trade Account?”. All accounts linked to your profile are visible when you use the option “My Account” on the MyPEI menu. This menu is visible on the left side of the Homepage when you are logged in. I have forgotten my password. What do I do? Open the MyPEI Login tab on the Homepage. Enter your username and click on the “Forgot your password?” link and follow the prompts. You will be asked to enter your username and email address (make sure that it is the same address that you initially registered with). We will send you an email with token key and a web link. Follow the link to the MyPEI web site and paste the token into the field provided. You will be allowed to set a new password on your account. How do I find products online? On the top of every page is a “Part # Search” field. You can use this box to enter part numbers, portions of a part number and/or manufacturer’s names. Click the ‘Search’ button to view your selection. Tips:
Part Number “Starts with” - Enter the first portion of the part number you are looking for (you do not need to include any spaces, dashes). Click the ‘Go’ button. For example, enter MS3102E and hit ‘Go’. All part number beginning with MS3102E appear in alpha/numeric order.
Manufacturer/Part Number – Entering a portion of the manufacturer name and the first few characters of the part number separated by a space will allow you to search for specific Manufacturer part number combinations. For example, enter CANNON DL. All part numbers for manufacturer ITT Cannon starting with the letters DL will be listed. Enter Amphenol D38999 (or a portion of the manufacturer’s name, for example; amph D38999) and all Amphenol D38999 connectors will be shown. The Manufacturer name can be entered before or after the part number as long as it is separated by a space.
Manufacturer – You can enter the Manufacturer’s name in the “Part # Search” box. For example, enter GLEN or GLENAIR and all Glenair items are listed in alpha/numeric order.
Exact Match - If you entered the complete part number you will be taken directly to the “Part Information” (detailed specifications) page for that product. There you will find product availability, specifications, links to more detail information, mating parts, associated items, and alternatives as well as a shopping cart and Quotation Request feature.
How do I find a product by a particular manufacturer? Enter the manufacturer’s name, or a portion of the name into the “Part # Search” box and click the 'Search' button.
You can also combine Manufacturer and part numbers in your search, see “How do I find products on line” for more information. How is Part Number Search different than Site Search? The Site search allows you to search text content anywhere on the site, but does not allow you to search part number availability or specifications. Site Search is available on the left vertical menu of every page.
To find part number specific information you must use the Part # Search box at the top of every screen.
What are Mating Parts? MyPEI may suggest mating parts for connectors. The mates shown are only a small number of the possible mates. Typically the mates shown have the same plating as selected item and the suggested mate is the most common mate. PEI-Genesis has a staff of Application Engineers ready to help you pick the precise part you need email or call our technical Support Team for assistance. What are Accessories? MyPEI may suggest items that are typically used in conjunction with the selected item, such as tools or adapters. The accessories shown are only a small number of the possible accessories. PEI-Genesis has a staff of Application Engineers ready to help you pick the precise accessory you need. Email or call our technical Support Team for assistance. What are Alternative Items? MyPEI may suggest items that can be used in place of your selected item. Alternatives are suggested based on a general understanding of the types of applications for which such products are normally used. Responsibility for ensuring that any product is adequate, sufficient or suitable for any purpose remains with you, the Customer. PEI-Genesis has a staff of Application Engineers ready to help you pick the precise part you need email or call or Technical Support Team for assistance. Call (001) 215-673-0400 from 8:30am to 8pm ET (GMT -5). In Europe, call +44 (0) 844 871 6060 from 8:30am to 5pm. Why do some items have detailed data, pictures, and weights, and some do not? The site contains more than 350,000 items that we stock or assemble.
At this time, we do not have rich data loaded for all of these items. We are continuously adding information to the site and you will find more and more items with rich data over time. Why does my item say “price info not available”? In some cases we may be short a critical component necessary to build the product. In this case, we do not display pricing, nor do we allow you to purchase the item. Instead we allow you to use the “Add to Quote” feature to request price and delivery information.
If you submit a request for quotation you will receive an email confirmation of the request and we will get back to you with price and availability, normally within 24 hours. If you need immediate assistance, call or email your local sales office. We can give you delivery information or recommend a viable substitute that will allow you to get parts tomorrow. How do I find more detailed technical information about a product? You can access additional technical information, including links to datasheets and design guides for many of our products on the product’s “Part Information” page (the detailed specification page). To visit the manufacturer’s web site, select the manufacturer on the Left or Top menu and you will find a link to their site on the left side of the first page. Why aren't there any results for my search?
Try using a smaller portion of the part number or the manufacturer’s name. If you are using a specific part number, ensure you are using 0 (Zero) and not O (or vice versa) and see if that works. We can build literally millions of items in 48 hours or less from our component stocks, but occasionally you may need something that we can’t build immediately. This may simply be because we don’t have the appropriate Bill of Material setup in our system or because we are short a critical component. In most cases we can offer an alternative. We have a staff of highly qualified Applications Engineers standing by to help you. You can call or email our Technical Support Team or call (001) 215-673-0400 from 8:30am to 8pm ET (GMT -5). In Europe, call +44 (0) 844 871 6060 from 8:30am to 5pm. I need a part, why can't I find it on the website? Yes, during check out you have the option of adding a PO or reference number for your own use that will appear on shipping documents and your invoice.
What is the “Avail” quantity? This is the quantity we have available that is free for sale. Be aware that 70% of the items we sell are assembled to order. We have the fastest cycle time in the world for connector and power supply assembly. We use proprietary, highly flexible automation to reliably assemble your customized item.
Our average cycle time to assemble, test and ship is 1.1 work days. Virtually every order we process is assembled and shipped within 2 working days, hence our 48 hour message. Many items are also shipped the same working day. What does it mean when a product is back ordered? We do not allow you to purchase online unless the item is available to build. Occasionally, we may accept an order that we later discover can not be assembled from stock due to unforeseen issues. In this case we will ship the portion of your order that we can process and “back order” the balance.
The back ordered items will ship as soon as we have the components necessary to build what you need. You will not be billed for the back ordered item(s) until after shipment. The status of your order is always available on the website. Once you are logged in, you will see a MyPEI menu on the left side of the screen (just below the vertical menu). Choose “Order Search” to check the status of your order and to track your shipments. How quickly will my order be shipped? 70% of the items we sell are assembled to order. We have the fastest cycle time in the world for connector and power supply assembly. We use highly flexible proprietary automation to reliably assemble your customized item.
Our average cycle time to assemble, test and ship is 1.1 work days. Virtually every order we process is assembled and shipped within 2 working days. Many items are also shipped the same working day. Please be aware that PEI-Genesis is global company and we display our global connector inventory from our South Bend USA, and Southampton UK facilities. Some items are only assembled in one of these facilities due to current inventory position, market demand, specific military assembly certifications, government regulatory requirements, or ITAR restrictions. We use the fastest possible means to move products between these two facilities daily, and we do not pass on the costs of these inter-company shipments to our customers. If any of your products need to be shipped across the ocean, this will result in items being assembled and shipped to you in 3-4 workings days in contrast to our normal 1-2 days. In rare cases, US or UK Customs will delay a shipment. Our Power products are all assembled and shipped from our Bensalem Pennsylvania USA. Order status information is always available on the website. Once you are logged in, you will see a MyPEI menu on the left side of the screen, just below the vertical menu. Choose “Order Search” to check the status of your order and to track your shipments. Can I choose the shipping method? Yes. We use UPS for all deliveries worldwide and you can choose any available delivery method for your destination, including overnight and Saturday delivery. If you have a PEI-Genesis trade account you can use any carrier and method you have activated for your company. With a trade account, you can also choose to have freight charges billed directly to your Collect (Receiver) carrier account number. Can I use my “Collect” or “Receiver” account number to bill shipping charges directly to me or to my company? Yes, but this requires verification. Once you have a MyPEI account setup call us to have your carrier account numbers loaded into our system for future use. For security purposes, an authorized PEI-Genesis Account Manager must load these numbers for you. Contact your local branch sales office or our central web services unit; (001) 215-673-0400 (In Europe, at +44 (0) 844 871 6060). After your Collect (Receiver) account numbers are loaded you will see those carriers (UPS, FedEX, DHL, etc) and your associated account numbers when you checkout your shopping cart. At that time you can select any of your carriers using your collect account. When using a Collect (Receiver) number, the shipping charges are billed directly to you by the carrier at your negotiated rate. PEI-Genesis does not add any additional handling charges or fees to the shipment. What are the shipping charges? Shipments from our European factory, click here. We charge shipping at the published UPS rate. We do not add any additional handling fees or charges. If you have a PEI-Genesis trade account, you have the option of using your Collect (Receiver) account number. In this case the shipping charges are billed directly to you by the carrier at your negotiated rate. We do not add any additional handling charges or fees to any shipments. To see the actual shipping charges for your order simply put your items into the Shopping Cart and begin the checkout process. There are four Check-Out screens. The first screen is your shipping address. The second is shipping information. This screen goes out to the UPS servers and brings back every valid shipping method for your address along with the rates. Here is how it works:
When you check out using the Shopping Cart, MyPEI makes a connection to the UPS servers and provides you with an estimated shipping charge based upon the shipping method you selected, the weight of the items ordered, and your destination. At the time of shipping, we will bill you the actual shipping charges at the published UPS rate based upon the actual weight of the package and shipping method. This could be slightly different than the estimate given when you placed your order due to variations in item weight, UPS "Dimensional Weights", and the size and density of the packaging and materials used to protect your parts in transit. Inaccurate estimates may also occur if there is a failure to make a connection to the UPS system during checkout. The item weights shown on the site are estimates based upon sample lots. In some cases we do not have highly accurate product weights. Shipping Charges from PEI-Genesis Europe For shipments from our UK production facility we charge shipping at a specially negotiated UPS rate and we pass this cost saving on to you, our customer. You can see the actual shipping charges during the Check-Out process. If you have supplied us with your own Carrier Account numbers you will see your Collect (Receiver) Carrier Account numbers as shipping options during check-out and you may choose to use your own carrier account. In this case, the shipping charges will be billed directly to you from your carrier at your own agreed rates. How do I know my PEI Shipping Point and which Terms And Conditions Apply The following countries normally receive shipments from our Southampton UK Facility. In this case, UK Terms and Conditions apply. Note that France has its own Terms & Conditions (en français) All other countries not listed are normally served from our South Bend United States facility (Bensalem for power products). For these shipments US Terms and Conditions apply. ISO Code

Why do you only estimate freight charges during check out, but charge the actual carrier rate when shipping? We do not want to charge more than the actual UPS published rate when shipping to you. In order to give you the most accurate possible charge we calculate the actual value at time of shipment when the items are fully packaged for transit. We bill you only that amount. No additional fees or handling is ever added. Here is how it works: At time of check out, we provide the most accurate estimate possible via a link to the UPS servers. This not only gives you accurate estimates of shipping charges, but also allows you to see every possible delivery service available for your destination. To estimate the freight charges we need the weight. We calculate this by rolling up the weights of all components used to build the assembly you purchased. Due to variations in component weight, roll up rounding, the weight of the packaging materials, and “dimensional weight” rules used by the carrier, the estimated weight may vary slightly from the actual weight recorded at time of shipment. In most cases the estimate is higher than the actual charge and the total average cost variance across thousands of shipments is negligible. By using the actual weight at time of shipment you are guaranteed not to be over charged for freight. And we back up that commitment by never charging additional handling or processing fees. You can eliminate shipping charges on your invoice by using your carrier “Collect” (Receiver) account to have the carrier bill you directly for shipping. See “Can I use my “Collect” or “Receiver” account number to bill shipping charges directly to me or to my company?”. Can I check my order status and track my shipments? Yes. Order status information is available on the website. Once you are logged in, you will see a MyPEI menu on the left side of the screen (just below the vertical menu).
Choose “Order Search” to check the status of your order and to track shipments. Can I see my previous purchases and invoices? Yes. All of your invoices are displayed and you have the capability to print pdf copies or email them directly from MyPEI. Once you are logged in, you will see a MyPEI menu on the left side of the screen, just below the vertical menu.
Select “Invoice Search” and follow the prompts to find the desired invoice. All of your orders (open and invoiced) are shown using the “Order Search” feature. What are ITAR Controlled products? Some products are restricted from export by the US State Department under the International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In the UK, restrictions are controlled by the BERR/ECO. PEI has restricted items coded in our system to prevent them from being shipped outside the United States without a valid State Department Export License. Similar rules apply for shipments from our UK facility. PEI-Genesis takes ITAR compliance and export controls very seriously and we have a comprehensive program in place to ensure compliance. In the event that you request an ITAR controlled item (or a BERR controlled item), we will contact you to complete the necessary checks and paperwork. Your order will automatically be placed on hold until all verifications are completed. We apologize for any inconvenience that our compliance to US State Department and UK regulations may mean for the prompt delivery of your order. Learn more about ITAR and how PEI-Genesis makes it secure and easy for you to purchase ITAR and BERR controlled items. Which credit cards does PEI-Genesis accept? We accept payment by VISA, MasterCard and American Express* .

Over 70% of the items we sell are assembled to order from component parts in two highly automated factories. To return a product please contact your local branch sales office or our Corporate Headquarters and request an RMA Number. Itar Export Controlled Products FAQ ITAR, USML, DDTC, EAR, BERR, ECO, OGEL, OIEL, SIEL, EGAD
PEI-Genesis maintains a robust export compliance program. PEI-Genesis has assembly and warehouse facilities in the United States and the UK. As a consequence, we work under the direction of US and UK export control laws. When you enter an order for a controlled product on the website and request shipment outside the U.S. or U.K. (depending upon PEI ship-point), your order will automatically be placed on hold and we will contact you to obtain the necessary information to secure an export license on your behalf. PEI is registered with the U.S State Department and the UK Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) for these transactions. Learn more about ITAR and BERR/ECO regulations as well as how PEI-Genesis makes it easy for you to comply with these laws in the FAQ below. |

How do I know a product is export controlled? PEI-Genesis will inform you if you request a controlled product from us. In the United States, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) has the final determination if a product is controlled. In the UK it is the BERR, however, most manufacturers are able to self-classify their items by reviewing International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) §§120.2, 120.3, and 120.4, which relates to the Commodity Jurisdiction process and ITAR §121.1 (the U.S. Munitions List or USML). Our manufacturers identify controlled items and PEI-Genesis has both electronic and procedural systems in place to notify you if you are requesting a controlled item. See more below in the PEI-Genesis ITAR section of this page. What are the Export Control Laws and who regulates them? In the United States applicable laws and regulations include the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) established under the U.S. Department of Commerce, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) established under the U.S. Department of State, and the embargo controls administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Asset Controls (“OFAC”). Learn more at http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/For our UK facility, export controls are governed by the Export Control Organisation (ECO) under the UK Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR). Telephone 020 7215 5000 What items and uses are covered by these export controls? 1) Defense Articles: Any item that is specifically designed, developed, configured, adapted or modified for a military application – INTENDED USE DOES NOT MATTER 2) Defense Services: Furnishing assistance to foreign persons in the design, development, engineering, manufacture, production, assembly, testing, repair, maintenance, modification, operation, demilitarization, destruction, processing or use of defense articles. 3)Technical Data: Information required for the design, development, production, manufacture, assembly, operation, repair, testing, maintenance or modification of defense articles – but not general scientific, mathematical, or engineering principles, public domain information, or basic marketing information What activities are covered by export controls? In the United States and the UK, it applies to ALL export activities including export of defense articles outside the United States or the UK, reexport, or transfer outside the United States or the UK to another end use, end user or shipment to a destination not previously authorized. For example: We obtain a valid export license on your behalf that allows PEI to ship controlled products to you outside of the US (or the UK). In order to obtain that export license you have supplied us with various specifics concerning the end use and final destination of that product. You can only use that product for the registered application and in the registered location. You may not subsequently reship that product or incorporate that product into another, higher level product, and then reship that higher level product without first obtaining a new export license. Export controls cover technical data or the disclosure of controlled technical data to foreign national (including dual nationals) wherever they are located. Example: A discussion of controlled technical with a foreign nation anywhere in the world is prohibited; even of that discussion occurs within the United States (or the UK). What is the See-Through rule? Under this rule, DDTC will “see-through” an item to its most restricted component and the classification of the whole item or system will be based on the classification of that one component. This is not specifically spelled out in the ITAR regulation, but it is the current agency interpretation. PEI-Genesis uses the See-Through rule in classifying its products. How does the See-Through Rule apply to PEI-Genesis products? PEI-Genesis builds most connectors from component parts. If a component is identified as ITAR controlled by our supplier, then any and all products in which this component could be used is considered to be ITAR controlled and we will invoke the ITAR control processes in our Export Control Manual. This conforms to the current “strict” interpretation of the ITAR that is currently being used by the DDTC. For example: A connector is specifically designed for a US missile program. That connector incorporates a unique insulator contact pattern (layout). We stock the insulator and we can build dozens of different connectors using that insulator. PEI will use the see-through rule and tag all parent items that potentially use this insulator as ITAR controlled, even if the specific finished connector was never used in the original missile system. The intent of the DDTC is to prevent products containing controlled components from being reworked after the sale and having those components illegally re-purposed. My application is commercial, why does ITAR apply? ITAR is product specific, not application specific. If the product was designed, developed, configured, adapted or modified for a military application, then it is considered controlled under the ITAR. Intended use does not matter. Does ITAR apply to all military connectors? No. Many of the connectors assembled and sold by PEI-Genesis were originally designed for military applications. Over the years, these products have found their way into many commercial and Industrial applications due to their high reliability, proven performance, and relatively low cost. Virtually all of the mass-customized “military” connectors we build are exempt from ITAR. For the small number of controlled products we sell, we will alert you before we sell or ship controlled products to you. Do I need a license to ship controlled products outside the US (or UK)? Yes. All Export Activities require an export license from DDTC (ECO in the UK) or a license exemption. Significant monetary and non-monetary penalties exist for violations of ITAR and ECO laws. If you request that a controlled product be shipped outside of the US (or UK), we will attempt to obtain an export license for you. PEI-Genesis takes these laws very seriously and will comply with the strict interpretation of the law. Please understand that we are trying to protect your interests when we request documentation or delay order shipment in order to comply with current government regulations. |

PEI-Genesis ITAR / ECO Processing
How does PEI know an item is ITAR controlled? Our manufacturers indentify products that should be considered ITAR / ECO controlled. This information is supplied to us by the manufacturers from time to time (frequency varies by supplier). This is another good reason to buy military connectors from an authorized/franchised source; PEI-Geneses can provide up to date guidance for controlled products. Controlled products are tagged in our worldwide ERP system using the see-through rule (see above). The provenance of these products is visible throughout every step of the processing within PEI-Genesis. A series of electronic and procedural systems detailed in our internal “Export Control Manual” (500.0.0.0) are invoked to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Internal WI’s 500.11.8.1 & 500.11.9.0 What happens when I request shipment of controlled products within the U.S. (or UK)? We will sell you the product and we will alert you that the product is ITAR / ECO controlled. This will be noted on our Quotation, Sales Order Acknowledgment, Packing document, and Invoice. You may also be asked to sign an Export License Requirement Notification (ELRN) WI# 500.11.6.0. This is to tell you that the item is export controlled and to inform you that you will need an export license before you ship the item outside of the United States (or UK). This document is a courtesy to help you invoke the necessary controls within your organization to prevent unwitting violations at a later time. What happens if I am shipping controlled products outside the U.S. (or UK)? All requests for controlled products that ship outside the country are handled by a special team of people at PEI-Genesis. In the United States, that team is based at our International Sales office in Long Island New York. In the UK, that team is based at our European headquarters in Southampton UK. PEI-Genesis is registered with the U.S. State Department and the BERR. We will attempt to secure an export license on your behalf. In order to obtain a license we will need various authorizations and information about the application and final destination of the product. We will ask you for the necessary information. Please be aware that this is a U.S. (or UK) government requirement, not a PEI exercise. If a license is obtained, we will process your order. If not, we will inform you that your export request was denied and we will cancel your order No other distributor is asking me to fill out this crazy paperwork! Beware. PEI-Genesis has a very thorough export compliance system in place. Most distributors do not. Significant monetary and non-monetary penalties exist for violations of ITAR and ECO laws; including the personal liability of company officers. Do not skirt the laws and risk a violation.
